Environmentally Friendly or Green Wedding Dresses

Another important element of a wedding is of course the wedding or bridal dress. I am sure no one will argue with me on that point! ;-)

Of course, you do want to make this dress as sustainable as possible ... but you need not sacrifice your fashion sense when you choose this wedding dress.

What are the options then?

You can buy a used dress or you can buy a new dress that is made with "earth friendlier" materials.

Here are some sites to get you started:

Conscious Clothing http://www.getconscious.com

Rawganique: http://www.rawganique.com/organic-hemp-wedding-clothes.htm

Threadhead Creations: http://threadheadcreations.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TC&Category_Code=bridal

If you are in the UK, here is a site for you:

Also here are some UK sites for eco material:

Tree Free & Recycled Wedding Invitations

Wedding invitations are great in that they announce your wonderful wedding date and more or less 'set the tone' of your wedding day.

However, traditional invitations do 'kill trees' and use harmful chemicals in the making of the paper - not something you want to encourage!

Luckily, there are manufacturers out there that have the same beliefs and concerns as you.

For instance, Invite Site uses tree free and recycled products in the making of their wedding invitations.

You can read more about the company at this Tree Hugger posting:

All the best,
